Well, it's early in the new year and I'm looking forward to seeing what this year brings in terms of my photography travels and showing my work. To all my friends and family, thank you so much for your support and encouragement during the last year. 

It’s becoming an annual tradition for me to pick out my best images from the past year, and once again I’m inviting you to help make these difficult choices. I’ve posted 33 of my best photographs from 2012 in a "2012 Favorites" gallery (slideshow below), and after you look through these, please post a comment listing your ten favorites.  Once the votes are in I’ll put the top ten on this blog....The voting deadline is Sunday, February 17th.

I was blessed this fall to have been able to experience and photograph Alaska for the very first time, while visiting my daughter Danielle in Fairbanks.  She was gracious and took me to both the coast at Valdez, and to Denali National Park, which is an experience I would encourage anyone who has the opportunity to take advantage of.  You don't quite understand the vastness and the beauty of the Alaska landscape until you see it for yourself.  A number of my favorites are from that trip.

Also, as I did last year, if you participate in listing your ten favorites, I will randomly select someone to receive a print of their choosing from my whole portfolio.  It's just my way of saying thank you for getting your feedback.
