Hop River, Andover, CT.

The Hop River meanders through much of Andover and Columbia, with the Hop River trail following nearby in some sections, on the old rail bed that followed much of the river. This winter morning scene presented such a tranquil setting, with the contrast of warm morning light and cool shadows, both in the snow and on the river itself. One of the things that my eye cant help but see in this scene is the branch laying in the distant part of the river, with the light just catching it, and the cool shadows reflecting in the river nearby...
